Joseph Baldwin

WAAPA Bachelor of Acting graduate 2023

Joseph Baldwin grew up in the once gold-rushed town of Bendigo, Central Victoria. While he’s a proud 2023 WAAPA acting graduate now, his path has been quite unconventional. As a diligent student, Joseph achieved an ATAR of 98.5 and went on to earn himself a Bachelor of Science (Biotechnology) from the University of Melbourne. During his degree, Joseph represented Australia in high jump at the 2017 World Universiade in Taipei, and set the Australian national meet-record at 2.22m earlier that year. Acting became a serious endeavour when he began classes under the tutelage of Peter Kalos at the Melbourne Actors Lab late 2017. With a passion for storytelling and a commitment to authenticity, he looks forward to continuing his exploration of the human experience through the lens of acting, drawing inspiration from the intricate mosaic of his life’s narrative.
